Objectives
- Map the current ecosystem by identifying existing policy gaps, overlapping mandates
and accountability blindspots; - Learn from existing global good practices;
- Co-design an adaptive multi-stakeholder national model for internet safety and platform accountability, centred on human rights and shared principles;
- Lay the roadmap for the establishment of the national accountability model.
Expected Outcomes
- Shared understanding of Malaysia’s online ecosystem and the limitations of current
governance and accountability approaches. - An agreed set of principles for a rights-based multi-stakeholder internet safer model.
- Consolidated commitments from stakeholders to support the initiative through expertise, advocacy, and resources
